Hearing Voices in the Chords

Not to get too esoteric or anything but I' ve started to hear the individual voices in some of the chords. E major sounds very dramatic, like something important is about to happen. A minor has a tinge of sadness and E 7 seems to be asking a question. The F is smirking and saying, "Ha! You still can only get me right 65 percent of the time, sucker!"

Whenever I pick up the guitar I always go for the G chord first. An informal poll indicates that 70 percent of all guitar players do the same.
