If You're Wondering What to Get Me For Xmas

Apparently I'm not the only one interested in playing a little guitar (although mine's smaller).

GMP makes mostly die-cast race cars but also has a line of miniature Fender electrics, now starring this replica of Stevie Ray Vaughan's legendary No. 1. It looks very cool -- especially the way it's been distressed -- but $100 is a bit steep for a toy. But if it came with a little baby amp and you could really play it ...

Here's what GMP says about it:

This officially licensed, 1:3-scale Fender guitar replica features a real wood neck contoured to match the real guitar, an accurately contoured die-cast body, moveable pickup selector switch, volume and tone controls, real steel strings, and a moveable tremolo arm. Vivid colors and wood grain details make this replica a must-have for any guitar enthusiast. It comes with a display stand, wall mount, and full-color collector's box.

The real No. 1 was 1962 Stratocaster (with '59 pickups) and Stevie was quoted as saying that he could tell just by looking that it would sound great. There were rumors No. 1 was buried with Stevie but supposedly it's really in possession of brother Jimmie.
